Yellow Button | Green Clothespin
Cast glass, coldworked and rope/steel
60 H x 60 W x 7 D cm
I am fascinated with dualities that exist in our lives. This series uses glass as a sculptural metaphor for fasteners. Precious and glossy fasteners connect domesticity with human relations and the construct of the home. These large domestic objects signify the metaphorical joining of our living space, yet the scale is overly burdensome and the objects are rendered impossible in glass.
