Diatom Pair

Cast, fused, blown and carved glass
50 H x 25 W x 11 D cm

The internal structures and symmetry of these forms reference the beauty and complexity of the architecture of organic growth.

Here the varying thicknesses of glass and the detailed envelope of air becomes an integral skeletal element. Revealing the interior form has become a recurrent theme within my practice.
