Chandelier for a Glass Ceiling
Cast glass, mixed media
124 H x 45 W x 45 D cm
Chandelier for a Glass Ceiling aims to parody the stereotypical representation of the corporate woman. I am disrupting the complacency of socially constructed notions that label women by design, as objects of sex, fashion, and beauty. I juxtapose those very notions with the use of domestic tools to challenge socially accepted readings of women.
