Stream

Slumped and engraved glass, enamel
50 H x 50 W x 4 D cm

This work, titled Stream, is about the hum of life. The fish, running in schools, show the pace of life. So many schools to choose from, but under the arches, from left to right, we have, firstly, the enthusiast. Well versed in the sport of fishing, nothing will stand in the way of the ultimate catch. Next is the mother, to whom her child is all. Ah, what sacrifices we make. Fancy having to go to play group.

Lastly, we see the dedicated worker, chained to the desk, seeking self-gratification among the paperwork. Instead of pulling out our hair, we put things in it – fish hooks, pegs and bull-dog clips – and we drink large draughts of our chosen ways.
