Pink

Drawn thread, embroidered fibreglass fabric, fired
.5 H x 130 W x 35 D cm

I come from a linen village so linen is part of my past. My grandmother – Peggy Pink – made a drawn thread and embroidered tablecloth for her trousseau. I have recreated her design (as clearly as I can remember – the cloth was destroyed some years ago) in fibreglass because glass is my life as linen was hers – joining past to present.
